Road closures: four for Barnet drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Barnet will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• M1, from 11pm January 5 to 5.30am January 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 2 to junction 4, Lane closure for drainage works.

• M1, from 11pm January 5 to 5am January 6, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 3 entry slip road, entry slip road closure for sign works, diversion via National Highways and Local Authorities roads.

• M1, from 10pm January 8 to 5am January 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction London Gateway Services, Lane closure for electrical works.

• M1, from 10pm January 8 to 5am January 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction London Gateway Services to junction 1, Lane closure for electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
