Road closures: five for Barnet drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Barnet will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• M1, from 10pm January 8 to 5am January 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction London Gateway Services, Lane closure for electrical works.

• M1, from 10pm January 8 to 5am January 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction London Gateway Services to junction 1, Lane closure for electrical works.

• M1, from 10pm January 11 to 5am January 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane closures for repair of message sign.

• M1, from 10pm January 22 to 5am January 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 3 to junction 1, Lane closure for electrical works.

• M1, from 10pm January 22 to 5am January 24, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane and slip road closurefor electrical works, diversion via National Highways roads.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
