Road closures: five for Barnet drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Barnet will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But motorists will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• M1, from 10pm August 14 to 5am August 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane closure for repair of message sign.

• M1, from 10pm August 14 to 5am August 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction London Gateway to junction 2, Lane closure for Sign Installation.

• M1, from 10pm August 14 to 5am August 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 4 to junction London Gateway, Lane closure for Sign Installation.

• M1, from 10pm August 21 to 5am August 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 4 to junction 2, Lane closure for electrical works.

• M1, from 10pm August 21 to 5am August 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 2 to junction London Gateway, Lane closure for electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
