Barnet road closures: three for motorists to avoid this week

Barnet's motorists will have three road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures are due to start this week:

• M1, from 10pm May 10 to 5am May 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1, junction 4 to junction London Gateway Services, southbound, Lane closure for CAT1 safety fence repairs.

• M1, from 10pm May 23 to 5am May 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 5 to junction London Gateway Services, Lane closure for safety fence works.

• M1, from 10pm May 23 to 5am May 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 4 entry slip road, Lane closures for fence works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
