Barnet road closures: four for motorists to avoid this week

Barnet's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But drivers will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A1, from 9.30am September 26 to 4pm October 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1 northbound, junction Borehamwood to junction 1, Lane closure for urgent electrical works.

And a further three closures will begin over the next seven days:

M1, from 10pm October 4 to 5.30am October 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 2 to junction 4, Lane closures for inspections works.

M1, from 10pm October 10 to 5am October 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction London Gateway Services to junction 1, lane closures for electrical works.

M1, from 10pm October 10 to 5am October 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction London Gateway Services, Lane closures for electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
