Barnet road closures: four for motorists to avoid this week

Barnet's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• M1, from 10pm May 11 to 5am May 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1, junction 4 to London Gateway Services, southbound, Lane closures for CAT 1 sign installation.

And a further three closures will begin over the next seven days:

• A1, from 10pm May 16 to 5am May 21, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A1M northbound, junction 1 to junction 3, carriageway and slip road closures for electrical works, diversion via local authority Network.

• M1, from 10pm May 23 to 5am May 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 5 to junction London Gateway Services, Lane closure for safety fence works.

• M1, from 10pm May 23 to 5am May 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 4 entry slip road, Lane closures for fence works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
