Barnet's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Barnet's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a holdup of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

M1, from 10pm May 30 to 5.30am June 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 4 to junction 1, carriageway closure, lane closures and entry slip road closures for urgent surveys, diversion via TFL roads.

M1, from 10pm May 31 to 5am June 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 2 to junction London Gateway Services, Lane closures for CAT 1 boundary fence repair works.

M1, from 10pm June 7 to 6am June 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 2 to junction 3, Lane closure for electrical works.

M1, from 10pm June 12 to 5am June 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction London Gateway Services to junction 1, Lane closures for electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
