Barnet's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Barnet's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

M1, from 10pm December 11 to 5am December 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction London Gateway, Lane closures for electrical works.

M1, from 10pm December 11 to 5am December 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 4 to junction 2, Lane closures for electrical works.

M1, from 10pm December 14 to 5am December 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Land and slip road closure for electrical works, diversion via National Highways roads.

M1, from 10pm December 14 to 5am December 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 3 to junction 1, Lane closure for electrical works.

M1, from 10pm December 16 to 5.30am December 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 2 to junction 4, Lane closure for railway inspections.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
