Barnet's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Barnet's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M1, from 10pm October 2 to 5am October 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 2 to junction 4, Lane 3,2 closure for barrier works.

And a further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A1, from 10pm October 28 to 5.30am October 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A1M northbound, junction 1 to junction 3, carriageway closure for concrete repair works, diversion via National Highways and Local Authorities roads.

M1, from 10pm October 30 to 5am November 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction London Gateway, Lane closures for electrical works.

M1, from 10pm October 30 to 5am November 2, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction London Gateway to junction 1, Lane closures for electrical works.

M1, from 10pm October 31 to 5am November 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction London Gateway to junction 2, Hard shoulder closure for electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
