Good news as food hygiene ratings handed to 10 Barking and Dagenham establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 10 of Barking and Dagenham’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to six restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Cristina's at 8-10 North Street, Barking; rated on October 21

• Rated 5: Nando's Chickenland Ltd at 1 The Odeon, 22-30 Longbridge Road, Barking; rated on October 21

• Rated 5: Lara Grill at 20 Whalebone Lane South, Dagenham; rated on October 14

• Rated 5: Ventidue LTD at 22 Whitebarn Lane, Dagenham; rated on October 13

• Rated 5: Khyber Grill at 800 Green Lane, Dagenham; rated on October 7

• Rated 5: Future Youth Zone at 201-225 Porters Avenue, Dagenham; rated on October 6

Pubs, bars and nightclubs

And one rating has been handed to a pub, bar or nightclub:
