New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Barking and Dagenham’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Vue Cinema, at Cook Road, Dagenham was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on September 16.

And Deshy Grill, at 47 East Street, Barking was given a score of zero on August 24.

It means that of Barking and Dagenham's 171 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 90 (53%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
