New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Barking and Dagenham’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Abigails Cafe, at 21 Station Road, Chadwell Heath was handed a three-out-of-five rating after assessment on December 27.

And Spice Hut, at 21 High Road, Chadwell Heath was also given a score of three on December 27.

It means that of Barking and Dagenham's 172 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 92 (53%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
