New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to three of Barking and Dagenham’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

The following ratings have been given to three restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Pietros at 141 Church Elm Lane, Dagenham; rated on September 1

• Rated 3: Grill & Crave / Sushi & Bento House at 614 Longbridge Road, Dagenham; rated on September 7

• Rated 1: Panku at Inside Asda Stores Ltd, Merrielands Crescent, Dagenham; rated on September 16

It means that of Barking and Dagenham's 172 similar establishments with ratings, 90 (52%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
