A Barking and Dagenham takeaway has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Thai & Pie, a takeaway at 108 High Road, Chadwell Heath was given the maximum score after assessment on November 17, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Barking and Dagenham's 217 takeaways with ratings, 101 (47%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
