A Barking and Dagenham restaurant has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Oasis Cafe, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at Valence House Museum, Becontree Avenue, Dagenham was given the maximum score after assessment on November 14, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Barking and Dagenham's 174 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 86 (49%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
