The world’s largest Banksy exhibition has been delayed and is now due to open in Regent Street this September.

The Art of Banksy showcases more than 110 pieces including prints, canvases and unique works from the anonymous street artist.

It had been due to open on Wednesday (July 5) but it will now open on September 13.

Visitors can expect to see some of his most famous pieces including Girl With Balloon, Flower Thrower and Rude Copper.

These will be presented alongside “hand drawn sketches and personal works that Banksy created for friends, associates and lovers”.

The exhibition also focuses on Banksy’s Dismaland, The Walled Off Hotel in Bethlehem and recent artworks acknowledging the ongoing war in Ukraine.

Close associates of the artist share their personal stories giving unique insight into some of the world’s most famous images and background on how those headline-grabbing street art stunts were devised.

Banksy rose to fame by creating stencilled designs around his home city of Bristol in the early 1990s. Despite being famous worldwide his identity is still unknown.
