Wireless 2023: Full info, including entry times and weather forecast for weekend festival

Finsbury Park will host a weekend of hip-hop this week as Wireless 2023 kicks off over the next few days. The music festival will start on Friday (July 7) and wrap up on Sunday (July 9).

Over the three-day festival, some of hip-hop and rap’s biggest names perform in the capital’s green space including 50 cent. Playboi Carti and Travis Scott are some of Wireless’ other headline acts for this year.

The festival will also see past performers return to the Wireless stage. Playboi Carti, Flo and Lil Durk are just a few of the acts that were a part of the 2022 lineup of the event.

Finsbury Park has become a familiar setting of the music festival over the years. Earlier this week, it was confirmed the space would host Wireless until 2027 after a five-year deal was agreed between Haringey Council and the event’s promoter Festival Republic.

Friday, 7 July 

The sun is set to shine down on Wireless attendees this Friday. Temperatures are expected to peak at 25C in the late afternoon and will ease slightly as the evening of music continues.

Saturday, 8 July 

The capital will continue to heat up by the time the weekend hits. Saturday is also forecast to peak at 25C, with sunny intervals expected across the afternoon.

Sunday, 9 July 

Temperatures will cool at the end of the week. While Wireless attendees can expect sun across Sunday, London will stay in the early 20s across the day.

How to avoid crowds post Wireless 2023 festival tube crowds

The two nearest underground stations to the Wireless festivities at Finsbury Park are Manor House and Finsbury Park. Both are expected to have long queues, with the festival’s organisers having offered some advice to those travelling home from the event.

Wireless coordinators suggest festival goers that need to head into central should consider using National Rail services initially from Finsbury Park before changing to the Victoria line at Highbury & Islington.

Alternatively, Arsenal underground station is a 10-minute walk from Finsbury Park. Wireless attendees will be able to travel via the Piccadilly line into central too.
