The venue is currently being transformed into Emerald City (the capital of Oz) for tonight’s event.

First-look photos show a magical green carpet laid outside the Southbank Centre.

There is a large sign saying Wicked, in the classic pink, green, and black font.

Photos taken this afternoon show extravagant floral displays, bookending the green carpet.

So far each of the Wicked premieres has adopted a different theme linked to the musical.

Tonight’s London premiere will be themed around Emerald City, which we think is only appropriate for Elphaba’s (Cynthia Erivo’s) homecoming.

The Broadway and now movie megastar was born and raised in London before moving across the pond.

She will be joined on the green carpet by Glinda actress and popstar Ariana Grande.

Other superstars expected to grace the carpet include Jeff Goldblum and Jonathan Bailey, who both star in the musical movie.

They will be joined by a host of British personalities and we are expecting to see some tremendous outfits.

Tonight’s premiere signals a return for the whole Wicked cast as the movie was filmed just outside of London.
