Here’s what’s happening around the city on October 3 aka Mean Girl day.

It's October 3 and while many across the city will no doubt be preparing for the end of the month for Halloween, Mean Girls fans know just how iconic today is.

As fans of the movie will know today's date is mentioned in the movie and as the Mean Girls musical is on the capital’s West End currently, fetch fans will be able to see the plastics on stage on the day.

The Tate Modern will also welcome a new exhibition with the city’s diverse restaurant scene also set to host a new Mexican eatery.

New Tate Modern exhibition opens

The Southbank gallery will welcome a new display centred around the work of American artist Mike Kelley. The new exhibition titled Ghost and Spirit revolves around a script for an unrealised performance by Kelley that explores the idea of the ghost which disappears whilst the spirit lingers.

New restaurant opening in Mayfair

Inspired by the charming Fonda lunch counters of Mexico known for serving local foods with a Spanish flair, the spot is opening its doors for Londoners in one of the city’s most luxurious districts.

London Cocktail Week starts

Londoners will be able to try some of the city’s finest cocktails for under a tenner this week. London Cocktail Week which first launched in 2010 celebrates the best the capital’s bar scene has to offer with tempting deals.

It’s Mean Girls day and it’s in the West End

October 3 is an iconic date in the world of the Mean Girls franchise. As fans will know the date comes up as Cady Heron talks to her crush Aaron Samuels in maths class in the movie. Lucky for London fans the West End version of the film is currently open in the capital which fans wont want to miss on such a momentous day.

London Month Of The Dead starts

The spooky vibes will also kick off in the capital as October 3 also marks the start of London Month Of The Dead. The annual festival of death and arts will welcome city locals for guided tours around some of the city’s most macabre spots as well as bewitching talks.

Princess Royal attends event in Knightsbridge

Anne, who is known for her busy schedule of royal engagements will visit the Knightsbridge area on Thursday for the annual Blues and Royals Dinner.
