The JD Wetherspoon at London Victoria Station is set to open back up next month after it temporarily closed at the start of the year to expand into its neighbouring space, which once housed a Yo Sushi.

The Victoria Wetherspoons is now almost 1,800 square feet bigger after it took over the next-door Yo! Sushi premises, which closed in 2020.

As part of the extension, the pub has undergone a complete refurbishment, with the existing customer area having even been updated with a new bespoke carpet.

The spot will open back up on Tuesday, March 12. From then, those travelling through the station can pop in for a pint or meal from 6am until midnight on Monday to Saturday or from 8am until 11pm on Sundays.

Reflecting on the Victoria Wetherspoons' new look, its pub manager, Dan Wonders, said: “The pub is well established at Victoria Station, and I am confident that our customers will welcome the bigger space and new look.”

Based on the station's concourse on the first floor above WHSmith, the area of the station was previously known as the 'Brighton side' in reference to the part of the station initially opened by the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway.

London is already home to almost 100 Wetherspoons, including another based in the Victoria area. The Willow Walk is by the rail station, in Wilton Road.
