Watch: A look inside the famous Waterloo Banksy Tunnel
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
After London went Banksy crazy this week over the elusive artist’s latest piece in the city, we visited the Waterloo tunnel that honours Banksy’s street art legacy.
On Sunday (March 17) residents in Hornsey Road, Islington, woke up to a green-themed Banksy artwork on their doorstep. The nature-inspired mural featured paint splatters up a wall mimicking the form of the branches behind a pared back tree.

One of the murals still up is the Very Little Helps artwork, although it is partially damaged and has been vandalised. It first appeared in London in 2008 on the side of a pharmacy on Essex Road in the north of the city.
Another of Banksy’s past London murals is Girl With Balloon. One of the artist’s most recognisable works, it was once stencilled on London’s Waterloo Bridge before t it was later removed by local authorities.
However, Banksy’s street art legacy still lives on in the city through the Leake Street passage in Waterloo.

While the spot previously hosted Banksy works including Snorting Copper and Monkey Detonator, it now showcases a range of different street artist’s work from around the capital and beyond.
