Wimbledon fans may still be able to catch the tournament court side, if they are willing to queue.
One of London’s most famous sporting events, Wimbledon tickets are understandably highly sought after. But if you haven’t already got tickets for the tennis tournament, there’s still time.
Each year Wimbledon fans scramble to sign up for the event’s public ballot for court side passes although that’s not the only way to get tickets.
Tennis fans can actually queue on the day to buy one of 500 tickets reserved for Centre Court, Court 1 and Court 2.
Thousands of ground passes also known as ground tickets are also available daily which give you access to unreserved seating and standing room from Courts 3 to 18.
While for Wimbledon fans there’s probably nothing that compares to being courtside watching the tournament, there are still quite a few big screens across the city showing the world-famous tennis festivities this summer.
Here’s everything you need to know about queueing for on the day Wimbledon tickets.

The queue officially starts on Sunday (June 30) at Wimbledon Park which is around a 5-minute walk from Southfields station.
The Wimbledon site advises people to queue early on the day they want to watch. Grounds open at 9.30am each day with wristbands being allocated from 7.30am to prevent others pushing in.
Some keen Wimbledon goers will actually camp for those tickets the night before with two-man tents allowed in the queue itself. Throughout the duration of the tournament there will also be toilet facilities and water stations and food outlets for those who are queuing.
