Alastair Campbell and Rory Stewart have announced an end-of-year special The Rest is Politics Live show at London’s Royal Albert Hall. The cheeky chappies bring their number one ranked podcast in the UK to London in December.

The podcast - produced by Goalhanger - aims to unearth secrets of Westminster from two experienced politicians. The pair discuss politics home and abroad, while bringing back the lost art of disagreeing agreeably.

Rory Stewart is a former MP who ran against Boris Johnson in the 2019 Conservative Party leadership election. He served in the army and the diplomatic service and trekked across Afghanistan before being appointed as a fellow at Harvard.

Alastair Campbell is best known for his role as former British Prime Minister Tony Blair’s spokesman, press secretary and director of communications and strategy. He is often lauded for being the cornerstone of New Labour’s success.

Craig Hassall, Chief Executive of the Royal Albert Hall said: “Politics, debate and activism are at the heart of the Hall’s story, and we’re so thrilled to be able to continue that legacy as we close our 150th anniversary celebrations. Alastair and Rory have built real momentum in a short space of time, around ideas that underpin the Hall itself – debate, consensus, exchange of ideas and drive for change.

“Alastair and Rory’s appearance at the Royal Albert Hall will be their biggest show yet after selling out the London Palladium earlier this year. Here’s everything you need to know about The Rest is Politics one-off live show at the Royal Albert Hall.”
