With the final break in the 2021/2022 academic year done - attention turns to the summer break date.

With the summer months slowly approaching, it’s around the time that schools break up for their biggest break of the year, the summer holidays.

It’s set to be a busy summer as it will be the first summer holiday since 2019 where there will be no travel restrictions, or restrictions of any kind.

With a summer half-term break just commencing, attention has switched to the next break in the school calendar, with the summer term break on the horizon.

This is the most significant break in the school calendar, as people return to school in a year above, then the one they left as when the summer break begins.

This means that pupils in year eight will return as year nine students, and so on.
