Former Arsenal captain and London native Tony Adams has been confirmed to be starring on the upcoming season of Strictly Come Dancing.
The popular BBC One show has been slowly releasing celebrities for a week now via the official twitter account, with the former England international the latest celebrity contestant announced.

Hide AdHe is set to join a star-studded cast that includes the likes of Kym Marsh and former Bros frontman Matt Goss.
Adams is now the eleventh celebrity to be confirmed, here’s who he is and the full lineup so far.
Who is Tony Adams?
Tony Adams is a former professional footballer and captain of Arsenal FC.
He spent his entire playing career of 19 years as a centre back at Arsenal.[2] He is considered one of the greatest Arsenal players of all time by the club’s own fans and was included in the Football League 100 Legends.

Hide AdAfter hanging up his boots, Adams tried his hand at management spending periods in charge of Wycombe Wanderers, Portsmouth, Azerbaijani side Gabala and Spanish side Granada, with the latter being his last managerial job in 2017.
Over the course of his career, he made over 500 appearances for the Gunners, and turned out for his national team 66 times before retiring from international duty in 2000 after 13 years.
