6 ethereal photos of the magical Strawberry Moon over London
Londoners have shared photos of last night’s Strawberry June moon across social media.
Last night, London locals took to social media to share photos of the majestic strawberry moon.
Known as the Strawberry Moon, it gets its berry name as it comes at a time typically when harvesting of the fruit starts. The impressive full moon takes on a reddish hue and is often very large in the sky.
Londoners who caught a glimpse of the lunar spectacle have since shared stunning photos of it rising over the city’s famous skyline.
From snaps of it peaking behind the Shard, others also captured the Strawberry Moon by the capital’s business district, Canary Wharf.
