By now, you may have heard that Netflix's new Squid Game The Challenge series was filmed in London, but where exactly was it set in the capital?

Inspired by the smash hit 2021 drama series, the new Squid Game The Challenge series sees 456 real-life players travel to the capital for a chance to win a life-changing sum of money.

Throughout the reality competition, players are seen taking part in a number of familiar Squid Game-inspired tasks, including Red Light, Green Light, and the Dalgona candy challenge, in a London set transformed to look similar to the original drama.

Where was the Squid Game The Challenge series filmed in London?

The reality competition series based on the Netflix's smash hit Squid Game show, was mainly filmed in Barking at Wharf Studios. 

For the show, the London location's six interconnected sound stages were transformed into the familiar Squid Game.

According to Netflix's pop culture site Tudum, the whole competition was filmed across just 16 days at the London location.

However, the Red Light, Green Light challenge was filmed in a larger space outside the capital in Bedford at Cardington Studios. 

The game, which was played by all 456 participants, was set there to ensure a safe environment for those taking part.
