Santa in the City fun run returns to London for 2025 - here's how to sign up

Londoners are being urged to pull on their Santa suits and sprint through the capital’s sparkling streets this December. And it’s all in aid of a charity helping children in the UK’s most deprived communities.

A sea of Santa hats will take over Central London once again this winter for the return of the annual Santas in the City fun run.

The festive fun run, organised by Dreams Come True, is now celebrating its 10th anniversary and will take place over three nights from 2–4 December 2025, offering both walking and running options so everyone can get involved.

Participants can expect a 4km route that starts and finishes in Paternoster Square, winding past some of London’s most iconic landmarks, including St Paul’s Cathedral, Millennium Bridge, Tower Bridge, and Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre – which will all be lit up for Christmas.

Whether you walk, jog, or sprint, everyone taking part will receive a five-piece Santa suit, race number, and medal – while under-18s can join for free, making it the perfect festive activity for families.

Lisa King OBE, CEO of Dreams Come True, said: “The Santa Run is a chance for everyone to spread joy and kindness during the festive season. Every step taken helps bring happiness and hope to children who need it most. Whether you run or walk, you’ll be part of something truly magical.”

This year’s event also caps off a landmark 12 months for the charity, following its 2025 rebrand and new partnership with The Big Table Group, the restaurant family behind Bella Italia, Las Iguanas, Banana Tree, Frankie & Benny’s, and Chiquito.

Together, the organisations are inspiring communities nationwide to fundraise, volunteer, and help deliver life-changing dreams for children living with serious illnesses, disabilities, and life-limiting conditions.

With 5.2 million children living in poverty across the UK, the charity says its mission has never been more important. Funds raised from the Santa in the City run will go directly towards granting tailor-made dreams – from vital medical equipment to unforgettable family adventures.
