Sam Smith has announced a UK tour including two shows in London. The Gloria tour will support the release of their new album of the same name and will travel the United Kingdom in 2023.

The Gloria album will be released on January 29, 2022 and Sam Smith will be performing at The O2 on April 18 and April 19 2023. The album explores the singer’s personal journey through “sex, lies, passion, self-expression and imperfection”.

Gloria is Sam Smith’s fourth studio album after the success of 2020’s Love Goes, which reached gold record status with the British Phonographic Industry. That album featured the UK Top 40 hit Diamonds, which peaked at number 11 in the singles chart while Love Goes reached number two in the album charts.

Speaking about their new album, Smith said: “It feels like emotional, sexual and spiritual liberation. It was beautiful, with this album, to sing freely again. Oddly, it feels like my first-ever record. And it feels like a coming of age.”

Smith’s return to the capital in 2023 will follow two nights performing at the Royal Albert Hall this month. Their shows on October 21 and 22, 2022 still have limited availability through Ticketmaster for last-minute gig goers.
