Mighty Hoopla have announced S Club Seven star Rachel Stevens will no longer perform at the festival after the death of her bandmate Paul Cattermole. The singer was set to perform on both days of the festival.

The death of Cattermole was announced last month (April) after he was found dead in his home in Dorset. It was announced today (May 18) the singer died of natural causes.

Following her bandmate's passing, Stevens paid tribute in an emotional post on Instagram. Sharing a throwback snap of Cattermole, she described him as a "kind, gentle and sensitive soul with the most incredible energy and such wild free spirit."

The Brockwell Park-based pop music festival confirmed Stevens had pulled out from her performances at the upcoming festival on Thursday. A statement on the festival's Twitter account said: "After the recent tragic passing of S Clubs Paul Cattermole, it is with deep sadness that Rachel Stevens has had to withdraw from performing at this year's Mighty Hoopla."

Rachel Stevens was set to take to the event's main stage on June 3 and perform on the Candy Crush Arena the following day on June 4. The festival's organisers are yet to confirm who will take the S Club star's place in the event's lineup. The statement later clarified that further information on who will fill in Stevens' two performance slots will be announced "very soon."
