The ever glamorous RuPaul’s Drag Race UK has returned to our screens for series 4 as 12 new UK queens vie for the title of the UK’s next drag superstar - including a London queen.

The BBC reality contest has already seen its first elimination, as the field whittles down to the final queen who has worked it in the “Werk Room.” No spoilers here, we can assure you of that.

So, London fans of the series will be pleased to know they are still being represented loud and proud on the new series, for the time being at least.

Who is the London contestant in RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season 4?

London’s afro punk princess, Baby is 25 years old and while in drag the prefered pronouns used are she/her.

“I was chilling at home when I got the call and I had a feeling in my spirit, I felt it was going to be good. They were like, ‘We want you!’ and I was like ‘I’d want me too! Sick!’ It was an amazing moment” she explained about her inclusion in this series.

“I’ve been doing drag for about four years now” she continues. “I started out performing around clubs around London and Brighton. I was at university in Brighton which is a small city and very queer.”

“So, I learnt how to block my eyebrows, throw on a lash, walk in a heel, I bought my first lace front wig and now, here I am. A glamorous queen!”

What is RuPaul’s Drag Race UK?

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK is a spin off from the US version of the show, which first aired on VH1 in 2008.

The reality show is presided over by global drag icon and judge RuPaul as he searches for the UK’s next drag superstar.

RuPaul plays the role of host, mentor, and head judge in the series, as contestants are given different challenges each week and try to avoid dropping into the bottom two.

This year’s line-up includes queens from Belfast to Brighton, as well as other representatives from the UK’s drag scenes.

The award-winning series is currently screening on BBC Three every Thursday evening at 9pm.
