Pokémon fans are set to take over the capital this weekend.

Pokémon Go Fest will return to the capital this weekend. Having made its debut in the city in 2021, the event is back for 2023 and is set to be bigger than ever.

The 2023 edition of the Pokémon Go Fest will take over London this Friday (August 4) and Saturday (August 5). While the festivities will mainly be centred in London’s Brockwell Park the greater city will also be incorporated in the event.

From gameplay with thousands of fellow Trainers, to various treasure-hunting quests all over the city, the Pokémon Go Fest 2023 website hints fans can expect  “glittering gameplay, beautiful bonuses, and hidden surprises” throughout the adventure.

After its 2016 debut, the Pokémon Go app has retained an immense player base of over 79 million (July 2023). The renowned mobile game bringing augmented reality to mass numbers is celebrated annually in an international festival which now includes London.

The experience will be split between two different locations: Brockwell Park and Greater London. Ticket holders will be able to access an event-exclusive gameplay experience at both locations.

A Morning Park Experience and Afternoon Park Experience are offered, both priced at £32. The times for each of the location experience packages are below:

Morning Park Experience - 9am - 1.30pm

Morning City Experience - 9am - 7pm

Afternoon City Experience - 9am - 7pm,

Afternoon Park Experience - 2.30pm - 7pm

The nearest train station to Brockwell Park is Herne Hill, whilst the nearest tube station is Brixton on the Victoria Line.
