Grab your friends, don your corsets and get ready for a high-energy performance that Jane Austen would approve of.

Last night, the London World team received one of the most coveted invites in town.

We headed from our HQ in Bank to The Vaults near Waterloo to watch a hip hopping, rambunctious rendition of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice.

Cleverly titled Plied and Prejudice, this drunken retelling, only focuses on the ‘important parts’ of the iconic love story.

Performed with the boundless energy of an A-level drama class, this 5-person production was a skilled masterclass in improvised and physical theatre.

Each of the actors assumed multiple roles for this hilarious adaption of the classic novel. Piled and Prejudice is witty, wonderful and jam-packed with regency splendour and pop-culture references from Keira Knightly to Boris Johnson.

It poked fun and other interpretations of Pride and Prejudice, and ramped up the raunch-factor for an adult audience. From innuendos to THAT wet t-shirt scene.

It was mocking, raunchy and a brilliant reminder of the importance of silliness on and off the stage.

The venue was dressed to impress, boasting regency regalia and filled with the sounds of Bridgerton-style pop songs.

This is more than a play it’s a boozy and brilliant immersive experience that any Austen fan will love.

This camp production thrives on audience participation and exudes high energy. The actors laughed along with us, as they scrambled from end to end of the catwalk-style stage.

I don’t want to give too much away, but this is a super-fun, silly and exuberant production that brings a classic tale into the modern day.

So grab your friends, don your corsets and get ready for a rip-roaring night of regency revelry. Get your tickets here.
