The annual Notting Hill Carnival parade will be making its way through the city today. Here is a complete list of road closures.
Carnival festivities are set to take over Notting Hill this bank holiday as the area celebrates Caribbean culture and diversity in London.
Having first launched in 1966 on the streets of the Notting Hill area of Kensington, Notting Hill Carnival has taken place every August bank holiday weekend ever since.
The main Notting Hill Carnival festivities will take place over Sunday (August 24) and bank holiday Monday (August 25).
Londoners and visitors travelling in and around the Notting Hill area this weekend should note on the day a number of central London roads will be closed for the event.
As well as around Notting Hill itself some roads leading into North Kensington and Marylebone may also have limited access over the weekend.
Here’s what roads in the area are set to be closed for the carnival this bank holiday weekend.
When does Notting Hill Carnival 2025 start and finish?
The main Notting Hill Carnival festivities will take place over Sunday and bank holiday Monday. Starting around 10.30am on both days, on Sunday, the J'ouvert paint party, which kicks off just before sunrise, will start from 6am to 9am.
Official scheduled events are set to wrap up by 7pm on both Sunday and Monday. But of course, there will be after-party events happening across the area, but you may have to buy tickets for them.
