Londoners will be able to try some unique ice cream flavours thanks to designer Anya Hindmarch.

The fashion and accessories designer has confirmed it is bringing back its Ice Cream Project for 2023. Those who attended it last year may remember it for its rather distinctive flavours, including a Heinz baked beans-inspired offering.

While Anya Hindmarch is known in the fashion world for her luxury bags and accessories, her brand went viral in 2022 after it opened an ice cream parlour with an array of unexpected iced treats inspired by iconic British products. The pop-up saw a collection of cupboard staple brands turned into ice cream.

Popular condiments like Kikkoman Soy Sauce and Heinz Tomato Ketchup, as well as Polo Mints and Lyle’s Golden Syrup, were just some of the everyday classics that underwent an ice cream transformation.

Handmade in Devon, the ice cream was available to Londoners at The Village Hall store in Pont Street, Chelsea. Daring visitors could opt to try just a scoop or even take home a tub of their desired flavour.

The brand has now confirmed its Ice Cream Project would be returning for 2023 last week following "popular demand." The pop-up is expected to bring back some of last year’s popular flavours as well as welcome other new additions.

While the 2023 flavours are yet to be confirmed, a statement on the Anya Hindmarch website has hinted at what ice cream lovers could expect. The statement teases: "The household names inspiring our ice creams are typically found in the pantry rather than the freezer, think savoury sauces, condiments, biscuits, breakfast cereals and even crumpets."
