London will heat up this weekend as warm weather is expected up and down the country. The Met Office reports the capital could reach a sweltering 27C over the weekend.
On Wednesday (June 7 ) the meteorological service and The UK Health Security Agency issued a yellow weather alert for the capital. London is one of six areas around the country that has been placed under the alert which will be in place from Friday (June 9) until Monday (June 12).

Hide AdThe capital isn’t expected to feel the rise in temperatures until the weekend. However, once it arrives, temperatures are forecasted to hit 27C on Saturday alone.
Londoners can expect the warm weather to continue into next week. Like the weekend, the new week will bring more of the same weather as it kicks off with temperatures in the mid-’20s.

Thursday, June 8
Starting off cloudy, the sun will shine down on the capital from late morning. London is forecast to hit 20C just after lunch and reach its peak in the late afternoon.

The city will start to heat up from Friday. As Londoners finish work for the weekend, temperatures are expected to be around 23C.

Saturday, June 10
The weekend will see temperatures in the capital surpass the mid-20s for the first time this year. Saturday is expected to hit 26C at its peak.

Lows: 19C
Sunday, June 11
Sunday will continue to welcome the warm weather across the capital. Londoners can expect the city to once again reach 26C.

Monday, June 12
Following on from the warm weekend, next week is also forecast to have a sunny start. Like Saturday and Sunday, Monday is also expected to have a peak of 26C.
