London to Boomtown festival: How to get to the Winchester music festival starring The Prodigy and Cypress Hill

Boomtown 2023 is set to kick off next week. Being just an hour from the capital, the Winchester music festival is not too much of a trek for Londoners. We break down how festival goers can make their way to the music festivities.

While there are plenty of festivals happening across the capital this summer, many city dwellers will no doubt be travelling outside London for some of the UK’s biggest music events. Boomtown is one of the closest at just an hour’s journey on the train.

The four-day Boomtown kicks off next Wednesday (August 9) and is set to wrap up that weekend (August 13). The Prodigy have been announced as the festival’s special guests and will close the festival on its Grand Central Stage.

For those who are yet to decide how they are travelling down to the event from the capital, there’s no need to worry. Festival goers can easily make their way by rail.

We break down how Londoners will be able to get to the music festival from the city by train.

How to get to Boomtown 2023 from London via train

Londoners heading to the Winchester-based festival will be able to travel to the music event by South Western Railway services from London Waterloo and Clapham Junction. The nearest station to the festival is Winchester Train Station.

The complete journey from both Waterloo and Clapham Junction to Winchester is just over an hour on the train. Shuttle bus services will be running from the station to and from the festival over its run.
