London restaurant hack: TikToker shares how to eat out in the city for 'half price'

An Aussie Londoner on TikTok has shared a hack for dining in the city on a budget. @hotstuffchandler, aka Bronte, revealed in a post on the video-sharing platform how she regularly dines for "half price" thanks to an app named First Table. 

Bronte let her 16,600 followers on TikTok into her London dining hack in a video on Monday (January 8) as she gushed about finding the "best app in the world" First Table. As explained in her video, the app allows foodies to visit a restaurant and eat half price.

The post has since made waves across London's food Tok with over 25,000 likes and a further 11,000 saves as locals across the city praised Bronte for sharing her restaurant hack.

The app, which originally started up in New Zealand, is a restaurant discovery website that offers diners the chance to have 50% off their food bill during off-peak times when they book a first table at breakfast, lunch, or dinner at participating restaurants.

Via First Table, featured eateries will list their starting tables for their dining sessions of the day, which customers can then book for £6 to get 50% off the food bill for up to four people.

Accessible online or via an app, which is downloadable on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, First Table has over 200 participating London restaurants across the city.
