London O2 Arena: A look at performers over the years - and who will take to the stage this week

The O2 is set to showcase some comedy legends this week as Micky Flanagan and Peter Kay share their latest sets with London crowds. But who has taken to the arena stage between May 15 and May 21 in previous years? LondonWorld takes a look. 

The London arena has hosted many big names from across the world of music over the years, from Rhianna and Beyoncé to Elton John and Bon Jovi. One of the quickest tours to sell out was The Spice Girls' 2007 string of shows.

As well as one off the dates at the venue, the O2 has also hosted several residencies. One Direction and Katy Perry are just some of the acts to have taken to the O2 stage for consecutive shows.

In past years this week (May 15 and May 21), several iconic artists and groups graced the stage. The list of former headliners includes both Girls Aloud and S Club 7.
