Those wanting to avoid the post-show stress of getting on the underground after an event at London’s O2 Arena can rest easy at a number of hotels near the venue. The hotels we have selected are all just a brief stroll away.

Located on the Greenwich peninsula, the O2 has good links to public transport, as those heading to the venue can travel by boat, underground and bus. Its key location means that event goers can stay in hotels across the city while still being able to get to the arena easily.

However, while those heading to the O2 for a show can choose to stay elsewhere in the capital, there are a number of spots nearby where they can book a room. With the closest being on the arena’s doorstep, there are a few other options closer to the heart of Greenwich.

The nearest hotel to the arena is the Intercontinental which is just a brief stroll from the music and entertainment venue. Some of the hotel’s over 450 rooms even have a view of the O2.

The Intercontinental offers a luxury stay which is reflected in the high cost of a night’s lodging there. For a classic twin room, it is around £350 per night.

The Pilot, Greenwich 

Those looking for a more budget-friendly hotel may want to check out The Pilot. Just 10 minutes away from the venue, the hotel is distanced from the hustle and bustle of the event arena while still being only a brief stroll from it.

According to the hotel’s site, a standard double room is just below £140 for a night’s stay. However, the location has limited rooms, with just 10 rooms open to guests.

Holiday Inn Express - Greenwich

A little further out is a branch of the familiar hotel chain Holiday Inn. With over 160 rooms across eight floors, the venue has plenty of options for event goers looking to stay near the O2.

Google Maps states the hotel is an 18-minute walk from the venue and is a similar stroll from North Greenwich station, the arena’s closest link to the underground.

Holiday Inn’s Greenwich hotel offers a variety of rooms for guests, including both double and single-bed options, which are all just over £100 per night.

Angerstein Hotel

Closer into the heart of Greenwich is the Angerstein Hotel. The spot is a 30-minute walk from the venue, meaning those staying can escape the busy post-show crowd by heading to the venue.

According to Booking.com, a triple room which has three single beds as well as a shared bathroom is just £142 a night.
