London could see some popular nightclub chain spots close in the city following reports, operator Rekom plans to call in administrators for a number of companies within its group.
The nightclub firm, which manages around 35 clubs around the UK, including the popular Atik, Cameo and Pryzm chains, filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators on Monday (January 15).

Hide AdRekom's decision comes after it admitted the last year had been an "extremely difficult" time for the late-night sector amid pressures of higher bills and students not going out as much.
Chairman of Rekom UK Peter Marks said: "[While] the government's Autumn 2023 Statement saved us £120,000 on our £5m rates bill, it meant that we had to find an extra £2m in wages.
"Not only that, the cost of goods and energy have also seen inflation-busting rises. This has led to us having to accept that the group cannot continue in its current structure."
The firm hopes the decision will help its lenders, landlords and stakeholders to find a solution for the future of the group.
