How to sign up for the 2025 London Marathon ballot

Those wanting to run in next year’s event can sign up to the 2025 London Marathon ballot via the website Let's Do This.

The ballot is drawn at random and those lucky enough to be selected will be offered a chance to run in next year’s race.

It is free to sign up for the ballot but if you do get offered a place you’ll need to pay the full entry fee of £69.99.

The public ballot will be open for applications for only a few more days as the official closing date is April 27, 2024.

If you didn’t manage to get a spot in the public ballot, it may not be the end of your marathon journey as there are a few other ways of taking part including running for a dedicated charity and raising money for it.

A number of charities are given set entry places each year. However, those selected will need to agree to raise a minimum amount of money for the charity they are representing.
