London Marathon 2024 start times: When elite and mass races are expected to begin

The London Marathon will welcome runners to take part in its capital based course once again this weekend but when do the 2024 races start?
From amateur runners to Olympic athletes, the annual event will invite people of all abilities to join in on the city run this Sunday (April 21).

Hide AdWhile seasoned runners can compete in the elite races the mass event also offers a chance for beginner marathoners to don their running shoes.
Here’s when the London Marathon 2024 races including the elite and mass events will start this weekend.
Start times for London Marathon 2024 Elite wheelchair, women’s and men’s races
The start times for this year’s festivities have now been confirmed for this weekend’s races which are listed below:
- 8.50am - Elite wheelchair races
- 9.00am - Elite women’s race
- 9.40am - Elite men’s race
The mass races are set to be waved off around 10am. In last year's event, the mass event started at the same time as the elite men’s race.
