The London Marathon will take over the capital for another year this weekend as its course passes through some of the city’s most recognisable spots.
Each year, the London Marathon sees participants travel around many of the capital’s famous landmarks as they make their way around the 26.2 mile course.
Starting in the east of the city at Blackheath, the marathon route guides runners across the city and along the Thames before it wraps up at the iconic Pal Mal stretch of road.
Big Ben and the London Eye are some of the city’s familiar sights that runners will see along the way.
