The London Landmarks Half Marathon (LLHM) is a celebrated annual event that combines athleticism with the rich history and culture of London. Established in 2018, the LLHM offers runners a unique opportunity to take a 13.1-mile route through the heart of the city, passing by some of its most iconic landmarks - without the cabs, bikes, scooters and tourists getting in the way!

  • Whitehall: The race will commence on Whitehall, leading to its closure for the start period.​
  • Trafalgar Square Area: The finish line is situated near Trafalgar Square, resulting in closures in this vicinity during the conclusion of the race.​
  • Westminster Bridge: The route includes Westminster Bridge, which will be closed to traffic during the race.​
  • Streets in the city: The course passes through various streets in the City of London, including areas around the Guildhall, which affects local traffic flow.​

  • Public transport: Given the road closures, it's advisable to use public transportation. The London Underground stations on the District, Circle, Central, and Piccadilly lines provide access to various points along the race route.
  • Vehicle access: There will be no vehicle access on the closed roads during the specified times. Residents and businesses in affected areas should plan accordingly, keeping in mind that emergency services and pedestrian access will be facilitated, but vehicle access will be restricted.

Beyond the physical challenge, the LLHM serves as a significant fundraising platform. In its seventh edition in 2024, the event raised £11.8 million, contributing to a cumulative total of £50 million since its inception. These funds support a wide array of charitable causes, with participants often running on behalf of various organisations.
