London Hyde Park Winter Wonderland 2022: entry system to event and peak time information for attendees

It’s a few short days before Hyde Park in London is taken over by the annual Hyde Park Winter Wonderland for 2022, and with many expecting to attend the event it no doubt will be one of the busiest events on London’s advent calendar. But with large crowds and busy schedules for many residents of the area, are there different opening times throughout the tenure of the event?

Those who have already purchased their tickets ahead of the event will already know the answer, but in the interests of preventing Christmas carnage at the gates to Hyde Park organisers have taken the step to allow entry on a wave-by-wave of ticket holders basis. Organisers have stated that attendees can stay as long as they wish, but they must arrive between scheduled entry times.

When purchasing tickets from the Winter Wonderland website, potential attendees will be given an option of six different entry times; they are between the hours of 10am to 12pm, 12pm to 2pm, 2pm to 4pm, 4pm to 6pm, 6pm to 8pm and 7pm to 9:30pm - 9:30pm being the last entry into the Winter Wonderland across the length of its schedule.

The entry times also relate to off-peak and peak times to visit Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, with the majority of peak time tickets occurring across Saturdays and Sundays while the opening evening of the event is also costed at a peak time fee (£7.50). Those peak times increase in the evenings a week before Christmas Day.

Despite the event remaining open on Christmas Eve, there are no plans to close the event early due to the public holiday taking place the next day. So those wanting to have an early Christmas celebration at the royal gardens can head on over to experience the incredible array of rides and street food up to 9:30pm before Santa makes his trip across the United Kingdom.
