London fireworks: Where to watch tonight's fireworks display for free in the capital
Parliament Hill one of the popular spots to view London’s spectacular New Year’s Eve fireworks display without paying.
While the Southbank will be the centre of the city's New Year's Eve celebrations, thanks to the Mayor of London's annual firework display, Londoners don't have to stump up for a ticket to get a good view.
The celebratory New Year's fireworks, set to be launched from the banks of the River Thames, are set to light up the inner city as London bids farewell to another year.
While the glow of fireworks will be seen far and wide throughout the city, some of its green spaces, in particular, offer views of the display as part of the city's skyline.
This year, sadly, Primrose Hill will not be open to locals wanting to watch the New Year’s fireworks from there, as it will be closed for safety reasons due to large crowds who’ve attended in the past.
Here's where Londoners see the 2025 New Year's fireworks from some of the city's other highest points.
1. Brockwell Park
The London Eye is one of the landmarks visible from the south London park. For the best skyline view head to the hill closest to the lido.

Next is a north London spot that offers breathtaking city views. Parliament Hill and other spots on Hampstead Heath are a popular spot for Londoners on NYE.

3. Greenwich Park
The south London spot's hill serves as an iconic vantage point for the city’s skyline, including on NYE.

4. Hilly Fields
Another south London spot is Lewisham Green Space, which, as its name suggests, is known for its hilltop views of the city.

5. Alexandra Palace
The top of Alexandra Palace is another popular NYE fireworks viewing spot because of its panoramic views of the city’s skyline.
