Films that feature the London Eye from Harry Potter to Fantastic Four
2025 marks 25 years of the London Eye on the capital’s south bank and during that time the landmark has had some pretty iconic movie appearances.
While it's been busy spinning over the last two and a half decades, in the movie world the wheel has been saved by the Fantastic 4 and even made a cameo in the Harry Potter franchise.

Here are a few mega-hit movies that have featured the London Eye over the years.
1. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011)
The landmark features in the movie as a birds eye view of the River Thames is shown. However over the years fans have debated whether it should have featured as the scene is believed to have been set a year before the structure was built.
2. Wimbledon (2004)
The wheel structure hosts a fancy reception for Wimbledon players after the tournament in the movie as they celebrate with a glitzy ride overlooking the city’s famous skyline.

Hide Ad3. Fantastic 4 Rise Of The Silver Surfer (2007)
In the movie the London Eye takes centre stage after a shockwave causes the structure’s supports to breakaway with guests still inside its 32 capsules. Luckily thanks to the Fantastic 4’s powers the structure was saved.
4. Thunderbirds (2004)
In the movie the Thunderbird 2 aircraft ends up landing right by the London Eye after there was an accident on a monorail nearby.
