London Comic Con 2022 Winter: How to get there by train, bus, coach and car parking

There’s multiple options of how to get to London Comic Con 2022 Winter, which will see the likes of Matt Smith and Paddy Considine in attendance

London Comic Con 2022 is back once again with thousands of film and TV fans set to descend on London Olympia for a fun-filled weekend. The event takes place across two days from on Saturday, 19 November to Sunday 20 November.

People attending are encouraged to dress up for the event, in their favourite character’s costumes. There will also be a star studded line up including former Doctor Whos, Targaryens and of course the big names from comic books too.

If you’re a fan of time lords then you’re in luck as Jodie Whittaker, who became the first female Doctor Who in 2017 will be in attendance, along with David Tennant who was voted the best ever Doctor ahead of Whittaker will also be there. Matt Smith will be at Comic Con along with his House of the Dragon co-star Paddy Considine, who portrays Viserys I Targaryen.

With the event taking place in London, parking can be notoriously difficult. Luckily, London has some of the public transport links in the UK, thanks to its extensive underground system and overground trains too.

Can I park my car at Olympia London?

Yes. Olympia London has parking spaces but they are very limited. You can pre-book a parking spot on the Olympia London website.

Alternatively, you can park at West 12 shopping centre and Westfield shopping centre. A full list of nearby car parks can be found on the London Olympia website.

How to get to Olympia London by train

One of the closest stops to the event is Kensington Olympia, which is on the Overground system. It’s one stop from Shepherd’s Bush (Central line) or West Brompton (District line).

On the Piccadilly Line, you’ll want to exit at Baron Court which is a nine minute walk from the venue.

If you’re travelling via the Hammersmith and City line, leave the train at Hammersmith Station. This is a five minute bus ride or 15 minute walk away.

There is also the option of the Circle Line. On this line, High Street Kensington is a four minute bus ride or 12 minute walk away. Hammersmith Station is a five minute bus ride or 15 minute walk away.

How to get to Olympia London via the bus

The following buses all stop within a very short distance of the venue.

9 - runs to and from Aldwych and Hammersmith.

23 - runs to and from Westbourne Park and Hammersmith.

27 - runs to and from Chalk Farm and Turnham Green.

28 - runs to and from Kensal Rise and Wandsworth.

49 - runs to and from White City and Clapham Junction.

391 - runs to and from Fulham and Richmond.

How to get to Olympia London via coach

No matter where you’re travelling from,  National Express is likely to operate nearby with over 1,000 departure points across the UK. The coach can be a cheaper way of travelling, and will bring you to London Victoria.

From there, simply hop on the District Line to West Brompton, and Kensington (Olympia) is one stop away on London Overground.
