A new musical based on the iconic 80s Live Aid music benefit concert is set to join in the capital’s West End. The production will relive the memorable charitable event for music fans almost four decades on.

The Just For One Day musical will honour the Wembley Stadium-based festivities that saw some of music’s biggest acts of the time perform to raise money for famine relief in Ethiopia.

As well as featuring songs from the 70 artists that performed on the day, including the likes of Queen, David Bowie and Diana Ross, the production intends to capture the stories behind ‘the day rock ‘n’ roll changed the world.’

Just For One Day is set to open in the capital’s famous theatre district as the new year kicks off. The opening night of the production is set to be January 26, 2024.

The musical will only be in London’s West End for a limited nine-week run. Just For One Day is set to leave the capital’s theatre district on March 30.

How to get tickets for Just For One Day Live Aid musical tickets

Tickets will be available on The Old Vic Theatre website. Off Peak tickets will range from £13 to £77.50, while Peak passes will be between £15 and £85. 10% of all ticket sales will be donated directly to The Band Aid Charitable Trust.

The general sale of the Just For One Day tickets will start this Friday (October 6). However, Old Vic Theatre members may also be able to bag tickets early, from today (October 2).
